Who We AssistOur services are offered to adults and children who are experiencing problems associated with a severe mental illness or emotional disturbance. The adults we serve have a diagnosis of schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, major depression or personality disorder. Some also have a secondary problem with drug or alcohol abuse. Youth services help children who have a serious emotional disturbance or other psychological problems that have been treated through psychiatric hospitalization or out-of-home placement. Many of the people we serve come to us when they are having a psychological crisis and need immediate assistance to cope with the symptoms and consequences of their mental illness. Others join our services after discharge from a state or county psychiatric hospital and receive assistance in reconnecting with their family and their community. We also assist those who are caring for someone with a mental illness by providing education, support and individual consultation both at our office and in the home. This support provides information about diagnosis, community resources and other coping strategies to promote knowledge that leads to self-reliance. All of our services fit together to provide a continuum of community-based care for people who have a long-term serious mental illness. Download our Company Brochure |
